Village - a gathering of friends and neighbors discovering life together.

Presbyterian - a way of ordering our life together that respects the past and eagerly embraces the future. The church is guided by elders along with the pastor as together we seek to be faithful to God.

Church - many think of the church as a place where “religious” things happen, rather church refers to a people called by God to be a blessing to others.

The following mission statement guides our life together:

Village is a community of faith
inspired by the Holy Spirit
that strives to:
CONNECT people to God
and to one another
through Jesus Christ,
EMPOWER people to use their gifts
to honor God, in order to
IMPACT our community and the world
with the love of God.

Village Presbyterian Church belongs to a much larger family, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The Presbyterian Church traces its history back to John Calvin (1509-64) and John Knox (1513-72) during the time of the Protestant Reformation. The Reformers emphasized the following: grace alone, faith alone, and Scripture alone. As a new congregation, we also seek to be faithful to God and to the Scriptures as our convictions find expression in today’s world.

You don’t have to be Presbyterian to be a part of what God is doing at Village Presbyterian Church, all are always welcome, but you might find it helpful to review our
Brief Statement of Faith, which was adopted by the General Assembly in 1991.
